Welcome to the Ancient Fortress at Cape St. Athanas! Perched like a bird on the tip of Cape St. Athanas, located 3 km south of the town of Byala, the fortress was discovered in 2009 and has already been recognized as a cultural and historical monument of national importance. The historical reserve tells the story of an ancient civilization that lived in the region of the Bulgarian Central Black Sea Coast since ancient times.

Welcome to the Municipal Cultural Institute /Museum/ – Byala! The permanent exhibition of the museum is presented in four exhibition halls – “Ancient Sanctuary”, “Byala and the Sea”, “Early Christian Center” and “Everyday Life of the City”. The emphasis of the exhibition is placed on the more significant discoveries made during the archeological research of the Ancient Fortress at Cape St. Athanas near the town of Byala.
